Q: Is the price of Gold always increasing?

A: The gold price changes daily and value has shown to increase.

At the moment, the gold price is high and this has to be taken into consideration when creating and pricing pieces made with solid gold.

Q: Does silver and gold go together?

A: Yes, we think so! Have you heard about white gold? It’s a beautiful combination of cool tones with a warm sparkle. Get in touch to find out more.

Q: What metals do you use?

A: We only work with fine metals, meaning that your piece will last.

  • Sterling Silver has a 925 stamp which means that it is made up of 92.5% silver. This is the most affordable presious metal although it can tarnish over time due to the 7.5% copper to enhance durability. This remains the industry standard today.

  • As the ct’s increase from 9ct to 24ct the purity and colour changes. 9ct has a warm-pink tone, 14ct has a richer tone and 18ct has a warm gold shade which reflects it’s purity. These ct’s are recommended for wedding and engagement bands due to their durability and quality. Found Treasure works with yellow, rose and white gold which each hold their own magical tone to suit you.

  • This gun-metal like shade is a favourite for wedding and engagement rings. It is the heaviest and rarest metal available.

Q: How can I choose the right metal for me?

A: Get in touch & we will help go over all the options with you.

  • Do you like silver-cool tones or prefer warm-gold tones with your skin tone? You are welcome to visit us to try on samples.

  • As you go up the ct’s the tone, purity and value increase. If you have a budget in mind this will help us find the right metal for you.

Q: Can I design a piece from scratch or customise?

A: Yes, we love to create bespoke pieces.

  • You’re able to customise any product. Or, book an appointment to discuss a bespoke design with Naomi.

  • Personalise the design or add an engraving to make your piece truly one of a kind.

  • The bespoke process is collaborative, Naomi is call or email away from resolving any issues or concerns you may have. Read our reviews to learn more.

Q: What’s the bespoke process & options?

A: Each piece is designed around you here are a couple options:

  • A casting can be made of any shell or found object found on the beach. The mould process is £200 and your casting can be made into silver, gold or platinum.

  • We can design a piece for you using ComputerAidedDesign giving you an accurate example of what we will create for you.

  • Engravings can be added to any piece, given that there is space to do so.

How can I find out my ring size?

  • Request a ring sizer from our Shop, that will be posted directly to you. This way you can find out your size from the comfort of your own home.

  • Visit your local jewellers or meet with Naomi at her studio.

  • Measure one of your/their rings in MM’s. Or use the JW Ring Sizer app to help you.

How can I care for my jewellery?

  • To clean your pieces gently soak in a ceramic dish with warm water and baking soda for 10 minutes. Then rinse and dry with a soft paper towel or microfibre cloth.

  • For a professional clean, using an ultrasonic device and polish email to arrange: info@foundtreasurejewellery.com

  • Moisture tends to oxidise silver over time. Which is why gold and platinum are recommended for wedding and engagement bands. You can remove the oxidised layer with the two above steps. Whilst reducing contact with water and sulphur.
