Terms & Conditions – For Bespoke and Engraved Jewellery by Found Treasure
“Bespoke jewellery” means any item of jewellery that is created by us in accordance with the customer’s specifications, or an original model that is customised based on the customer’s input. Special terms and conditions apply to such purchases. Found Treasure Jewellery reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions at any time. Users are responsible for keeping themselves updated on any changes. By placing an order for bespoke or engraved jewellery, you confirm that you have read and accepted the below Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. The design process, sourcing and sketches begin after the customer has pre-paid the design deposit. Payment should be made by VISA, Mastercard or Wise through a payment link and Invoice provided by Found Treasure Jewellery. Payment total will be shown in UK pounds £’s on Found Treasure Jewellery’s website. Deposits paid are non-refundable.
1a. The design development and production begin after the customer has pre-paid the full amount or agreed upon payment terms, stated via email and Invoice. Payment should be made by VISA, Mastercard or WISE through a payment link or bank transferred with details stated on the Invoice terms, provided by Found Treasure Jewellery. Payment total will be shown in UK pounds £’s and the amount received should equal the total in UK pounds, if payment is made in a different currency. Payments made are non-refundable.
2. The time of delivery will vary depending on the complexity of the item, and the time required by Found Treasure Jewellery and the maker to create the jewellery. Delivery time will be agreed with each individual customer. Delays may occur for different reasons, but we will do our best to keep the customer informed about changes to the delivery schedule. Found Treasure Jewellery shall be under no liability for any delay in delivery or non-delivery due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. delays in transportation by Royal Mail, DHL, FEDEX or other external providers.)
2a. Timelines for bespoke will be agreed upon, any delays from the customer on confirming their design or stone or engraving will affect their timeline. Where lead times are not suitable, it is also possible that the designer will not be able to accept the clients final order and so the order will be void. In this instance too, the deposit it non-refundable.
3. Bespoke and engraved items are considered special orders and they are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If the damage or error was present upon arrival Found Treasure Jewellery reserves the right to repair or adjust the product so it fits with the initial agreement with the customer. A resizing / alteration service is available (depending on the item and technique in question.) This service may incur a fee. If we cannot measure your ring size for you, we strongly recommend that measurements are taken by a professional jeweller. Found Treasure Jewellery is not responsible for any inaccuracy with regards to measuring and sizing.
4. Once a design idea (manifested in an image/sketch combined with written correspondence) has been agreed on, the client has to honour this agreement. Found Treasure Jewellery cannot be held accountable for changes to personal views on the original idea after work on the piece has commenced. We will match the design or sketch as closely as possible when translated into your jewellery item, but please bear in mind that any sketches are just an indication of how the finished jewellery will look. Since the jewellery is hand-made, some variations from the sketch to the final, finished item can occur.
5. Necklaces and bracelets are sold in the lengths specified on our website. Custom lengths are available on request for most designs. There may be a charge involved for the extra materials used. Where this is the case, you will be informed before any work is undertaken.
6. We are unable to accept cancellations on bespoke, customised or personalised orders already in production. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange on goods ordered in error. Cancellations made to bespoke orders already in production with payment terms must complete all agreed final payments.
7. All designs (main collection and bespoke commissions) are the intellectual property of Found Treasure Jewellery and cannot be copied, reproduced, modified or adapted in any way. Copyright belongs, at all times, to the designs and the client is not permitted to recreate any elements of a design for any purposes.
8. Any precious stones or diamonds herein have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and compliance with United Nations Resolutions. The Seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict-free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds.
9. The contract of sales is concluded when you accept these Terms and Conditions and pre-payment has been received by Found Treasure Jewellery. Our Terms and Conditions are available on our website for your reference at any time.
